Purpose of Meeting
The Arizona Poet Laureate, Dr. Laura Tohe, is doing a series of poetry workshops and readings across Arizona, especially focused on rural and Tribal communities. This 90-minute workshop will involve teaching more about the art of poetry for all ages and comfortability in writing. It will also include highlighting the poetry of other Arizona poets and hearing from community members about what they love about their communities.
Afterwards, Dr. Tohe will write a poem using what was shared from the community to develop a poem that will be shared back with them as well as the office of Governor Hobbs. Please find more information about this program here :https://azarts.gov/programs/arizona-poet-laureate/
