Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting an Art Sampler class: Faces in Focus: A Portraiture Sampler on May 1st, 2025, from 5:30-6:30 pm. 

Discover the foundations of portrait drawing in this beginner-friendly art sampler class! Learn essential techniques like proportions, shading, and facial structure to bring your portraits to life with confidence. This class will introduce you to fundamental skills needed to capture expression and likeness, making it the perfect starting point for anyone new to portraiture. With guided instruction and supportive feedback, you'll gain the tools to build your drawing abilities step by step. No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and a sketchpad!

 

This series is taught by Audrey Ashcraft, a local artist with experience working in many mediums.  Having grown up in a military family, she has traveled extensively, allowing her to learn about art and culture from many corners of the globe. Audrey is excited to share her passion for art with the community.
