Event Details
Celebrate Library History month by learning about your own family history! Join Linda Rogers as she teaches the basics of family history and genealogy research at Clark Memorial Library. Linda will provide a foundation for where to start with family history research, and will provide example documents and local resources to continue your research. The first hour will feature a foundational seminar from Linda, followed by a break out lab to sign up for resources and begin your research with technical support and guidance from Linda. Participants are welcome to leave after the seminar, if desired. If able, please bring your own laptop computer for research, as the library only has four computers available. Please note a second session of the same seminar will be held on Thursday, October 28th.
9AM-10AM: Lecture in the Meeting Room
10AM-Noon: Optional out session to practice research
Registration is required and seats are very limited; sign up today!
