Join Friends and neighbors as we discuss a series of murderous mysteries set in the gardens of Singapore in the 1930s by Ovidia Yu. In "Gardening Can Be Murder," Marta McDowell provides a cornucopia of crime fiction and gardening lore. I selected a relatively current series: The yellow rambutan tree mystery, The frangipani tree mystery, The paper bark tree mystery, The betel nut tree mystery, The mushroom tree mystery, The angsana tree mystery and The mimosa tree mystery. Therefore, we will each read a different title and discuss this author's approach to writing in the context of the garden. We've not approached a book discussion in the way before, so we will conclude the year with something new.
