Are you interested in learning about alternative health care? Join coordinator, Dick and other community members in a study group for an informal monthly discussion of a variety of topics on natural health on at 5:00 pm the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the library’s Founders Room. The primary focus of the group is to study the documented examples and scientific health benefits of local, GMO-free, organically grown, healthy, high nutrient food. A secondary focus may be on the health benefits of other healthy alternatives such as exercise, yoga, meditation, etc. As specific interests develop, the group will host 3-5 minute roundtable presentations by members. Then an outside speaker who is an expert in the field of health and nutrition, or a naturopathic doctor, would give a 30-minute presentation on a topic they are knowledgeable in. Dick will initially facilitate the group, however additional facilitators would be a welcome addition in the event that Dick is unable to attend on any given month.
For October we will discuss the many toxins in our food, water, air, and environment. We will look up and research a podcast and information on the topics that are presented by various MD's ND's and scientists and will discuss within the group.
Note: This month's meeting is on Thursday since the library is closed on Tuesday the 19th, but the group will resume meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of the month again starting in November.
