Program Description

Event Details

Prescott Valley Public Library will be offering a Creative Writing Class: The Protagonist Lab: Real, Raw, Unforgettable on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 12-2PM.

Every great story starts with a character you can’t forget. In this creative writing class, you’ll learn how to build vivid, complex protagonists using writing exercises, real-life inspiration, and thoughtful exploration of your character’s inner world and outer traits. We’ll dive into what makes a character feel alive—and how those characters can lead us to deeper, more compelling stories. Whether you’re just starting a novel or need help shaping your main character, this is your space to explore, experiment, and be surprised.

Registration is for a 4-week class series. This is an in person program.

Attendance is required for the first class. If you miss the first class, you will be removed from the class but are welcome to register for the next class series.
