Prescott Valley Public Library presents Japanese Taiko Drumming: The Power of Taiko Drumming on Friday, July 7th, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 pm. Fushicho Daiko strives to share the art form of Japanese Taiko drumming through the concepts of teamwork, cooperation, community, cultural awareness, and acceptance. Musical and artistic excellence are developed through education and performance opportunities. Fushicho Daiko Dojo/Studio is celebrating its 30th year of providing high-quality, high-energy performances and workshops throughout Arizona as well as engaging, educational classes in their downtown Phoenix dojo/studio.

Eileen Morgan has a B.S. Degree in Music Education, K-12, and a M. ed Degree in Deaf Education, K-12 and has taught in public, private and special needs schools for 36 years.  For almost 30 years Eileen has studied and performed Taiko as a soloist and as part of Fushicho Daiko/Phoenix Drummers in festivals, school residencies, summer school and after school programs throughout Arizona and the Southwest. In May 2011, Eileen became director and teacher of Fushicho Daiko and its dojo/studio, teaching and rehearsing 6 days a week.
