About the Presenter
Author of Prescott’s Original Whiskey Row, is an independent historian and frequent lecturer at Sharlot Hall Museum and the Prescott Corral of Westerners. He taught in Phoenix for 19 years, and on the Navajo Indian Reservation for 12 years, six of which as a riverboat pilot and guide. He has recorded three original music albums, and has appeared on CNN, Travel Channel and other TV stations across the country.
Courtney has a master’s degree in history from California State University. His current work on The Great Whiskey Row Fire of 1900
will be released soon. This lecture series presentation is a reprise of his 2019 talk at the Western History Symposium.
