Prescott Valley Public Library will be offering a 4-week, guided book discussion on, Little Heathens on Thursdays, starting on October 5th @ 3:00-5:00 pm. in the PC Lab.

On May 24th, 2023, Mildred (Millie) Armstrong Kalish passed away two months after her 101st birthday. Her memoir Little Heathens: Hard Times and High Spirits on an Iowa Farm During the Great Depression is a lovely open door into her childhood. A Top Ten book from the New York Times – ‘to the books they liked best’ from The Christian Science Monitor (2007). This story is a beautiful gesture of what daily life meant on her grandparents’ farm.  Join PVPL for a four-week book club / discussion.  Let us enjoy this lost time and place together.
