Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting Health Talks: A Wellness and Prevention Series provided by Yavapai County Community Health Services on December 21st, 2023, from 5:00-6:45 pm. This month’s presentation will be a book talk on the book, The Hard Sell: Crime and Punishment at an Opioid Startup by Evan Hughes.

James Tobin will be recapping the book, The Hard Sell, and will expand on how pharmaceutical companies - specifically Insys, an Arizona pharmaceutical company - helped create the opioid epidemic from their efforts to drive sales and make money.

James Tobin is the Section Manager for Substance Abuse & Mental Health Programming at Yavapai Community Health Services. James is a certified substance abuse expert with 25 years of law enforcement experience and prevention work at Yavapai College.
