Hiking in Redrock Country

Arizona's "Red Rock" country involves a wide range of colorful hiking options and spring is the ideal time of year to hit the trail.  We will discuss popular trails as well as places off the beaten path for hikers of all ages.  Additionally, we will consider different vegetation types on the open slopes as well as a couple of canyon environments.  I've been hiking in the Oak Creek Canyon and the Sedona area since the early '60s.  Some things have stayed the same, while other things have changed significantly.  We'll help you get the most out of your next hike, while avoiding the crowds and the long lines typical of such popular destinations.
