Prescott Valley Public Library presents Intermediate Genealogy on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm. For genealogy enthusiasts who know the basics, take your research to the next level. Do you already have a family tree started and an account on Family Search? Do you have a basic understanding of the US Census and Vital records and are wondering what to do next? Intermediate Genealogy will help you advance beyond these basic records.

This class will teach you how to access and use the following records in depth: census records, vital records, church and government vital records, cemetery records, military records, and newspaper/obits in depth. This class will also help you find your ancestors in U.S. land, military, church, and court records. Improve your skills and break through brick walls. This class is taught by Sandra Adragna, who is a professional genealogist.

Class Requirements: Must have taken a Genealogy class in the past or have a family tree started. A basic understanding of US Census and Vital records is required. Please have a free Family Search account (familysearch.org) set up before the class.

This program is free. Pre-registration required.

This is an in-person presentation.
