Vote By Mail

2024 Elections

Three elections are currently scheduled for 2024. Ballots will be mailed to those on the Active Early Voting List on the dates listed below. These ballots can be returned by mail or by using a Yavapai County Official Drop Box listed below.

Arizona began no excuse voting-by-mail in 1991. Voters on the Active Early Voting List (AEVL) are automatically sent a ballot for every election for which they are qualified to vote. Jurisdictional elections are all mail elections.

Vote-by-mail ballot packages will be mailed out to AEVL voters 27 days before Election Day.

Applying for the Active Early Voting List or requesting removal from the Active Early Voting List requires a voter’s birth date and signature. You may fill out the required form and return it to:

Filling out your Early Ballot Affidavit:

Be sure to sign your original signature on your ballot affidavit. The Voter Registration Department will verify your signature against the signatures we have on file. If your signature matches, your ballot will be sent for tabulation. If your signature doesn’t match, you will be contacted.

Returning Your Ballot:

All Early Ballots must be in the possession of the County Recorder by 7:00 pm on Election Day.

You may drop your ballot off at an official ballot drop box or a Voter Center before 7:00 pm on Election Day. Postmarks do not count, if you are mailing your ballot through the USPS please mail it at least 7 days before Election Day.
