Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting a program on Roots, Tubers & Bulbs, in partnership with Yavapai County Master Gardeners on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, from 5:30 to 6:45 pm.
Join us for an exciting gardening class focused on Roots, Tubers, and Bulbs! Learn how to successfully grow garlic, potatoes, and Jerusalem artichokes with expert guidance on garden site selection, soil preparation, variety selection, planting, growing, and harvesting. We'll also cover curing and storage techniques to extend shelf life and share essential tips for managing pests and diseases. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced gardener, this class will provide the knowledge you need for a bountiful harvest. Don't miss out—dig deep into the world of underground edibles!
Presenter: Laurin Pause
Laurin became a Master Gardener in 2019 and has served as the Speakers Bureau Chair for the past two years. She is an avid backyard gardener, applying the information gained to all aspects of caring for her yard and that of her community and promoting good stewardship of our environment.
