Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting, Growing Berries, in partnership with Yavapai County Master Gardeners, on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, from 5:30-6:45 pm. We are excited to welcome you to this class. We will be discussing growing backyard cane fruit and other berries at our elevation. In addition to Covering site selection, site preparation, soil, planting, fertilizing, pests and harvesting.

Types of berries include:

  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Currants and Gooseberries
  • Kiwifruit

Presenter: Laurin Pause

 

Laurin became a Master Gardener in 2019 and has served as the Speakers Bureau Chair for the past two years. She is an avid backyard gardener, applying the information gained to all aspects of caring for her yard and that of her community and promoting good stewardship of our environment. 

This is an in-person presentation.
