Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting the pre-recorded Master Gardener: Preparing Your Harvest for the County Fair on August 9th, 2022 @ 4:00 pm.  Learn how to submit your harvest and win a Blue Ribbon at this year’s Fair! You will also learn about the following:

 

  • County Fair Registration
  • Ideas for Entries
  • When and How to Harvest
  • Preparing Herbs
  • Preparing Flowers
  • Horticultural Judging

Pre-Recorded presentation by Marion Johnston

Marion comes from a long line of Cherokee farmers, a tribe where the women both owned and farmed the land. She is a Master Gardener, Class of 2013, and was a Docent and Naturalist for the Highlands Center. Marion has a BS and MA from Michigan State in Home Economics and Institutional Management where she was Production Supervisor at Kellogg Center, the Hotel Restaurant Management Training center at Michigan State and later was an Asst. Professor at ASU, handling all the quantity foods programs for the Dietetics program.
