Open Mic: Stories & Poetry is a space for experienced writers and aspiring creatives to share a read or memorized piece: a short story, prose, poetry, a series of jokes, a memory, even a dream. All formats welcome! This event is all-age and open to the public.
This month's Open Mic event celebrates the National Library Month theme: "There is more to the story."

Storytellers, please limit your performance to 5 minutes.
Never performed before? Perfect! The library is a learning space, and we look forward to growing together.
The Cottonwood Public Library aims to ensure that programming spaces and events remain open and free for the general all-age public.
Please keep these guidelines in mind when selecting your performance piece.
Microphones and speakers will be provided. Performances incorporating music or sound are invited to consider acoustic/acapella options for this venue.
How does it work?
3:00pm: Sign up to share at the Reference Desk. The list will remain open until all slots are filled.
3:30pm-5:30pm: Storytelling will take place at the Fireplace. The public are welcome to listen and enjoy! Stay for the duration or drop in for a bit.
Public computers and printing stations will remain accessible throughout the event.
