Prescott Valley Public Library in partnership with Silverkite Community Art Classes presents Cozy Scenes in Colored Pencils from 1:30-2:30PM on Monday, December 15, 2025. This is a virtual, live online art class for adults. 

Discover the versatility and beauty of colored pencils in this beginner friendly workshop You'll learn basic techniques such as layering, blending, and shading to create vibrant, detailed drawings. Whether you're new to drawing or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a fun and relaxing introduction to the world of colored pencils as you create your ideal cozy scene.

 

Supplies:

  • Colored pencils (a basic set with a range of colors; Prismacolor or similar recommended)
  • Drawing paper or sketchbook (smooth surface, mixed media paper)
  • Pencil -Pencil sharpener 

Optional: -

  • Colorless blender pencil or blending stump –

  • Reference image or other objects for inspiration
