Prescott Valley Public Library in partnership with Silverkite Community Art Classes presents Garden Inspired Oil Pastels, from 1:30- 2:30PM on Monday, June 30, 2025. This is a virtual, live online art class for adults. 

Join us to explore the vibrant world of oil pastels in a beginner-friendly workshop inspired by the colors and energy of a summer garden. Learn how to blend hues, build texture, and bring lively floral scenes to life while discovering the rich, painterly potential of oil pastels. Whether you’re new to art or just curious to try something different, this creative session will guide you step-by-step through techniques that are fun, expressive, and easy to learn. Let your imagination bloom as you create your own colorful garden-inspired masterpiece! 

Supplies:

  • Oil pastels (a basic set with a variety of colors)
  • At least 2 sheets of mixed media or pastel paper (9x12 inches or similar size)
  • Blending tools (i.e., soft cloth/paper towel/cotton swabs/blending stump)
  • Pencil and eraser
