Prescott Valley Public Library in partnership with Silverkite Community Art Classes presents Autumn Pastels  from 1:30-2:30 PM on Monday, November 17, 2025. This is a virtual, live online art class for adults. 

Celebrate the festive beauty of autumn in this beginner-friendly workshop using vibrant chalk pastels. You’ll learn techniques for blending colors, building texture, and experimenting with the rich, painterly qualities that make pastels so expressive. Whether you're new to art or looking to try something different, this hands-on session invites you to capture the warmth and color of the season in a bold, creative way. 

 

Supplies:

  • Chalk pastels (a basic set with a variety of colors)
  • Mixed media or pastel paper
  • Blending tools (i.e., a blending stump, a soft cloth, a paper towel or a Q-Tip)
  • Optional: fixative spray for preservation
  • Optional: reference photo for inspiration
