Prescott Valley Public Library in partnership with Silverkite Community Art Classes presents More than a Drip Painting, from 10:30-11:30AM. on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This is a virtual, live online art class for adults. 

Join us for a hands-on introduction to the bold, energetic world of Jackson Pollock and abstract expressionism. In this fun and creative workshop, you’ll explore Pollock’s signature drip painting style while learning about compositional space, emphasis, and the power of movement in art. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to let go, experiment, and enjoy the process. Come ready to make a mess, express yourself freely, and discover how spontaneous creativity can lead to exciting and unexpected results!

Supplies:

 

  • Acrylic craft paints
  • 8” x 10” canvas
  • #6 or #8 round acrylic brush
  • Water container
  • Paint palette (or coated paper or foam plate)
  • Paper towels
  • A shallow cardboard box (think four 6-pack soda from Costco) will contain most of the mess
