Event Details

Prescott Valley Public Library in partnership with Silverkite Community Art Classes presents Veteran’s Day Poppies in Acrylics from 1:30-2:30 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025. This is a virtual, live online art class for adults. 

Join us for a meaningful acrylic painting workshop as we honor and remember our veterans through art. Together, we’ll create a field of red poppies, symbols of remembrance and gratitude while learning simple techniques to bring this powerful image to life on canvas. No experience is needed, and all supplies are provided. Come paint with purpose and help create a visual tribute to those who have served.

 

Supplies:

  • black, white, red, green yellow acrylic paint
  • palette knife, old gift card or scraper
  • 8 or 9" balloon (not blown up)
  • approximately a 1" pom pom
  • small rubberband
  • small round paint brush
  • palette paper or palette (with large flat area)
  • bristol or mixed media paper (thicker paper better)
  • additional pom pom or small round sponge
  • qtip
  • Water and container to rinse brush
  • Paper towels
