Event Details

Prescott Valley Public Library in partnership with Silverkite Community Art Classes presents Visual Journaling: Summer Dreams, from 1:30- 2:30PM on Monday, July 21, 2025. This is a virtual, live online art class for adults. 

Take a pause and reflect with us in this peaceful and inspiring Visual Journaling workshop. Together, we’ll slow down and celebrate the beauty of the current season, summer, while exploring how it shapes our lives, routines, and personal growth. Through guided prompts and creative expression, you'll use journaling and simple art techniques to capture your thoughts, set seasonal intentions, and create a meaningful keepsake. No experience needed just bring your curiosity and a willingness to connect with the moment.

 

Supplies:

 

  • -Multiple thick pieces of art paper (or journal)
  • -Watercolor or paint set (brushes, cup for water, paint and paper towel)
  • -Photos, Book or Magazine clippings to collage with that explore summer themes (we recommend pre-selecting these to maximize your time in class)
  • -Scissors
  • -Glue

  • -Pen (Black and any other colors you have available to you)

     

Optional:

 

  • -Markers, Sharpies or Highlighters if you want to color in larger spaces more quickly

  • -Hairdryer if you want to speed up the drying process of your watercolor.
