Event Details

Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting writer in residence, Laraine Herring. Join us for special Writer-in Residence writing workshops from June through July. This craft-based presentation will help you understand the difference between the plot and the story. We’ll look at a few examples of the difference and explore tools to ensure your scenes and chapters aren’t built only of events that occurred but are relevant and vital to a character’s growth.

A Story Isn’t What You Think It Is: Story vs. Plot, is the final class in the Writer in Residence Workshops. This class is open to teens/adults.
