SUMMER READING PROGRAM 2024

Stop by Mayer Library to sign up for Adult and Youth Summer Reading Program 2024 and enjoy various activities the library has to  offer.

Summer Reading Program starts June 6 and lasts until July 3.  When signing up for Summer Reading 2024, the participants will receive a reading minute tracker.

Adult Reading Prizes

• The top two adult readers will receive a $50 gift card
• Each participant will receive one AZ state park pass

Youth Reading Prizes

• 150 minutes will receive gift from the first-level gift shelf
• 300 minutes will receive gift from the second-level gift shelf
• 500 minutes will receive gift from the top-level gift shelf
• Top 2 readers will receive an Amazon Tablet with a gift card

Additional activities include:

• June 6, 1:00 - 2:00 pm: Maggies Hospice will share what hospice is all about and offer blood pressure checks.
• June 13, 2:00 - 3:00 pm: Huan Pham will share what is was like to be a "Boat" person leaving Vietnam after the North Vietnamese Communist took over South Vietnam in 1975.
• June 20, 1:00 - 3:00 pm: Heritage Zoo will be sharing a few of their animals with us.  We will have a pizza party and give reading prizes to the youth.
• July 3, 1:00 - 2:00 pm: Nancy Burgess, author, will be sharing the History of Mayer. The top two adult readers will receive gift cards.
