Stop by Mayer Library to sign up for Adult and Youth Summer Reading Program 2025 and enjoy various activities the library has to offer.
Summer Reading Program starts June 3 and lasts until June 26. When signing up for Summer Reading 2025, participants will receive a reading minute tracker.
Adult Reading Prizes
- Adult readers that complete 200 minutes of reading or listening to audiobooks will be entered into a drawing to receive a $25 VISA gift card. There will be three (03) unique winners.
- Note: Extra minutes beyond the above requirement will gain participants additional entries into the drawing at one (01) entry per 100 minutes.
- Each participant will receive one AZ state park pass.
Youth Reading Prizes
- Readers with the most minutes will receive a $25 Amazon gift card. There will be two (02) unique winners.
Additional activities include:
- Thursday, June 3, 1:00 pm: Adventurer and wildlife expert Wildman Phil brings animals from around the world all together now for a lively, interactive experience.
- Thursday, June 12, 1:00 pm: Join us at library for a wild adventure filled with amazing animals from Heritage Park Zoo, fun facts, and stories that bring the animal kingdom alive!
- Thursday, June 19, 1:00 pm: Curtis Bork will perform lapidary demonstrations, i.e., the art of cutting, shaping, and polishing rocks, minerals, and gemstones.
- Thursday, June 26, 1:00 pm: Come make your own 'button tree' picture! Canvases and supplies will be provided. Guidance from Gene Fougner with art experience. Pizza and beverages to follow to celebrate the end of Summer Reading 2025!
