Winter 2025-2026 Writers in Residence - Steve & Carol Huffman
Workshop: Waiting to Begin or Beginning to Wait?
Published co-authors Steve & Carol Huffman are offering writer's workshops for aspiring writers. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your craft, this is your chance to learn directly from experienced authors who have successfully written, published, and released their own works.
Steve and Carol Huffman are a dynamic married writing team who blend decades of horse training, education, and storytelling into their work. Their collaborative spirit shines in their co-authored book Between the Reins – The Evolution of a Horseman (2021), a humorous and heartfelt look at the journey of horsemanship. Carol also showcased her versatility with the children’s book Stinky Steve – Home at Last. Together, they have earned recognition through the NASE Business Development Grant and the Idaho Commission on the Arts Grant for The Cowgirl Tea, while also presenting numerous author talks, signings, and workshops since 2021. With their unique perspective on co-writing, Steve and Carol guide writers of all levels through the challenges of writing and publishing, offering Creative Nonfiction workshops filled with humor, insight, and encouragement.
This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
