Fall 2025 Writer in Residence - Vincent Hood
Published author Vincent Hood is offering 60-minute workshop.
Join us for a thrilling Library Writer-in-Residence Event with the one and only Vincent Hood! Whether you're a doodler, storyteller, or superhero dreamer, this is your chance to learn to use storytelling as a teaching tool with expert guidance.
Vincent Hood is a Native American artist and writer with a strong background in education and storytelling. An accomplished comic book author, Vincent collaborates with other writers to bring compelling projects to life. A proud member of the Yavapai-Apache Nation, he views art and storytelling as powerful tools for teaching children, community members, and diverse learners about abstract scientific concepts and important philosophical ideas. Vincent’s experience as an educator allows him to engage learners of all ages through visual storytelling and hands-on creative activities. During a collaborative EdTech project, he worked alongside four educators and the superintendent of Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary School to create captivating stories aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Recently, Vincent graduated with honors from Yavapai College’s Paralegal Program and holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching Science from Northern Arizona University.
