Instructor Allyn Watson records Sew-Along with Allyn- Where Happiness is Homemade, a series of online classes showcasing a variety of sewing projects for beginners. These digital recordings will be posted to the Library’s Events

Fun Fridays! Time for the kids. We will have games and crafts for 10:00a- 1:00p and a movie to start between 1:00-1:30.

* Crafts and games will vary with holidays and themes of the library. 

Kids ages 8-17 can come learn to code using Scratch. Every third Saturday 10-11 am.

Join us every 1st and 3rd Saturday at 10 am in the Children's Program Room, 2nd floor. Reading to a dog is fun and relaxing and helps build reading confidence in children!

Read to a calm and friendly therapy dog and their kind handlers! Perfect for kids gaining confidence reading aloud or being around dogs. You choose the book and how long you stay.

Join artist Jan Marc Quisumbing aka The Janimal for a fun hour of cartooning and drawing!

Join Ms. Sally for Creative Saturdays in the Children's Library! Fun challenges, arts and crafts, and much more. Children aged 5-10 and families are welcome.

Drop by Dewey-Humboldt Town Library (Main Floor) every Wednesday for your favorite STEM activities! We provide 3-D pens, snap circuits, legos, and more! 

Tweens ages 9-12 will read chapters from the title each week on their own. When they show up to the Book Club, they will read a chapter together, discuss, and have a brief writing exercise. Then the fun begins:

Come play (or learn to play!) chess! All ages and skill levels welcome. Held year-round except on National Holidays. Chess sets provided or bring your own.

Students of any age (parents please supervise if under 5yrs) come for a bit after school to build something out of Legos with other kids your age. Free, Legos provided (please leave your own Legos at home).

Join us for a friendly game of chess! All skill levels are welcome. Tween Chess Club will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:30pm in the YS program room.

Join a group of tweens every third Wednesday of the month at 3:00pm for the after school gardening club. We'll be learning how to grow plants, compost, and care for our very own library garden.

Let's explore children's creativity through crafting! This week we will be creating Beaded Pipe Cleaner Butterflies.  All materials will be provided.

Join us for Creative Minds Club – an after-school creativity club where we will be doing something fun and creative every Wednesday.

Kids ages 6-12 can hang out with friends while discussing Pokemon. Kids will also play Pokemon games and activities. Every third Wednesday from 3:30-4:15 pm.

Children 6 and up can sign up to read to a therapy dog. This helps build confidence in reading. Registration required. Thursdays 3:30-4:30 pm.

Garden to Table Cooking Class for children ages 6-13 using the library's kitchen. Meets weekly for 2 weeks at the same time and location.

Join a group of trainers every Thursday from 4:00pm-5:00pm to play Pokemon the card game and meet other fans of Pokemon for a variety of activities. This program is open to families and all ages.
