 on, you&#039;ll explore the patterns that drive the region&#039;s most mem
 orable weather events. The talk also highlights climate trends impacting n
 orthern Arizona today, along with a look at cutting-edge meteorology resea
 rch underway at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Dr. James is a profe
 ssor of meteorology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He earned his
  B.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Arizona, while obtaini
 ng two years of operational experience as a student intern for the Nationa
 l Weather Forecast Office in Tucson. He later earned his Ph.D. in Atmosphe
 ric Sciences from the University of Washington.  His research specialties
  include radar and mountain meteorology.  Star Talks are held in partners
 hip with Prescott Astronomy Club and presented with funding from Friends o
 f the Prescott Public Library.
