Music in the Stacks is a showcase of local and national musicians who entertain regularly in Northern Arizona. There are 3-5 different performers during the show, with a rotating variety each month.
June's concert features Christy Fisher, Tim Young and Ed Cooper.
Christy Fisher is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Jerome and was recently nominated in four categories by the 2021 International Singer and Songwriters Association. She ended up winning Silver for Female Album of the Year for her album Mixed Signals in Atlanta, GA. Christy has performed with a few area musical groups throughout her 30 years in the area, including Mountain Stranded Time, Cattywampus, Christy and Frenz, The Jerome Philharmonic Convergence, and the Jerome Ukulele Orchestra. Fisher’s performances are a combination of award-winning songwriting, unusual audio engineering techniques, and powerful vocals.
Tim Young cut his teeth in the music business in New York. He constructed, created, and fronted a half dozen rock bands, recorded countless demos, and many live recordings. In 2013, opportunity knocked and set the stage for the move from New York to Arizona. Presently Mighty Tim performs live all over Arizona's Verde Valley.
Ed Cooper spent decades playing in bands around the country before settling in Sedona and becoming a solo performer. With soulful vocals and shredding guitar, Ed plays exciting arrangements of classic rock favorites from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s. You can see Ed performing regularly at several venues around the Verde Valley.
