Music in the Stacks is a showcase of local and national musicians who entertain regularly in Northern Arizona. There are 3-5 different performers during the show, with a rotating variety each month.

December’s concert features Tim Young, Joe Feldman & Joseph Langham.

Tim Young cut his teeth in the music business in New York. He constructed, created and fronted a half dozen rock bands, recorded countless demos, a vinyl EP "El Salvador", on his Vital Vinyl label, and many live recordings. In 2013, opportunity knocked and so set the stage for the move from New York to Arizona. As Tim's focus on performing changed from band situations to solo, he found a new studio to record Not Fade Away's fourth release, Live, aka Life of a Song. Because there were 22 songs recorded live, Tim released them as a series of five EP's, recorded in Cornville at Sweet 16 Studios.  For his newest album The Lucky Ones, Tim produced and brought together three other amazing players to shape the latest original songs. Presently Mighty Tim performs live all over Arizona's Verde Valley.

Joe Feldman is a singer-songwriter-acoustic guitarist based in Phoenix, who first discovered his love for folk music when he heard the music of Bob Dylan and The Byrds. He developed his musical skills through song leading in the early 80's.  At this concert you will surely hear some folk-rock songs, as well as country, classic jazz and blues selections. Joe currently plays gigs at farmers markets, folk festivals, and fairs around Arizona.

Born in Nashville to the family of a revivalist Southern Baptist preacher, Joseph Langham grew up in an environment where music was an everyday part of life. Whether at an all-day Sunday singing of traditional gospel songs or tooling down the highway to Memphis with the radio blasting what Music City had to offer, music seeped into every pore of his being. But only the very best of it stuck like mortar and bound the building blocks of his artistic soul. During the last several years as front person for the boundary burning band Each Others' Legend, he established himself as one of the essential songwriter's of the American southwest. Much like Dylan, Richard Thompson, or Bruce Cockburn, from his heart and lips poured the stories of the struggle for sanity amongst the ruins of a world gone mad. Now, after two critically acclaimed releases with Each Others' Legend, the time has come for him to bring his songs of beauty and bravery to venues everywhere.  Traveling light and hitting hard, he is offering a stripped-down presentation that allows his audience to become intimately comfortable with his songs and music. The result of these performances has been brilliant proof that the torch of hope is in the hands of some fine bearers, and it is artists like Joseph Langham that can be found at the very front of the pack.
