Free monthly concert series, a spin-off of the popular Music in the Stacks concerts. On the 4thThursday of the month, there will be a different local band or solo artist playing their music in the library's Fireside Room.

This month's concert features the band Indigo.

Known for their blend of contemporary classics, blues, jazz standards, and Motown, Indigo is comprised of Kathi Bellucci, Joe Clyne and Kris Baldwin. Each lifelong performers, these artists blend their individual musical experience and bring an elevated flair and refreshing spin to their eclectic mix of crowd-pleasing songs spanning decades of music.

Kathi, a classically trained vocalist, pianist and private teacher, began her professional career after earning music degrees and appeared on large stages in numerous musical and operatic productions. Since relocating from NY her style has evolved to favor more intimate venues and embraces the standards of favorite singers. Her vocals are soaring and sultry with a variety of deeply musical songs that entertain a wide audience.

Joe was a popular guitarist and part of the Kansas City music scene for years before moving to the Verde Valley. His early influences were The Beatles, MoTown, Ray Charles and B.B. King. His group, Backwood Memory, received radio airplay and this exposure led to them opening for The Righteous Brothers, Waylon Jennings and The Box Tops. His dynamic guitar artistry thrills listeners who attend his shows.

Kris Baldwin has enjoyed a career in performance and song writer production. Although Herman’s Hermits did open for Kris’s band, SkyDrive once upon a time, those glory days have mellowed with the passing of time and now he is happily engaged as bass side man for many players in his musical circles in AZ and Canada. He enjoys writing original tunes and performing many styles of local music with the jazz themed Indigo, acoustic folk sounds of Loose Change, the blues renditions of the Salt Miners as well as supporting open mic players in the Verde Valley.
