Learn songwriting basics from Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in this two-part workshop! This is your chance to express creativity and write a song with a professional writer! Songwriting 101 introduces song form and reveals secrets behind the creative process through an authentic co-writing experience.

First, make sure to join us in June for an important pre-workshop workshop. This will give you the tools you need to work with the professional in July. It's also an opportunity to send in your song lyrics to the Country Music Hall of Fame before the July workshop.

Second, you will want to attend the live program in July! The July program is led by a Nashville songwriter. Here, you will work together with other teens to create original song lyrics. Plus, discuss writing fundamentals and tips throughout.

The program concludes with a performance of the song and a question-and-answer period. Songs are recorded for classroom use. Make sure to register for the Zoom link. Open to tweens and teens ages 11-18.

Note: We will send you the Zoom link the day before the event.

This program was sponsored by Friends of the Prescott Valley Public Library.
