Audiobook History: It has been a long-time desire to release audiobooks. It just took a while to get there. Sheri Hauser began by learning what is needed to end up with a quality file by obtaining a Sound Engineering Diploma. In 2023, Glorybound Publishing opened their audio studio specifically for recording books. Recognizing the author knows their own work best, they set a goal to successfully coach authors to read their own work. We installed soundproofing in a room within the building, equipped with the latest recording gear and launched into sound books. Since its inception in June 2023, we have successfully uploaded 14 books to ACX. All these audiobooks have direct links to published books on Amazon which enhances the marketing capability of the titles. The longest audiobook [so far] is 12 hours.

Presently, the sound studio is set up with a wide-angle zoom camera which enables authors to ZOOM directly into the sound studio and speak their books. The sound comes out a high-quality speaker and is picked up by a professional microphone feeding the audio directly into the Focusrite analog to digital interface. We use Audible [free software] to record the audio because it is easy and effective.

We will really have fun with audiobooks! if you are planning to come to the library, please call me so I can ensure there will be enough room. If you have problems getting signed onto the zoom, you can call my cell the day of. 928-600-4675.
