Music in the Stacks- Concert Series

Free monthly concert series, a spin-off of the popular Music in the Stacks concerts. On the 4thThursday of the month, there will be a different local band or solo artist playing their music in the library's Fireside Room.  

This month's concert features Indigo.

Indigo features contemporary and American Songbook favorites along with jazz standards, blues, bossa nova and Motown. This combo is comprised of Kathi Bellucci on vocals and keyboard, Joe Clyne on guitar and vocals and Kris Baldwin on bass and harmonies. Each lifelong performers, they combine their diverse musical backgrounds to create a unique style covering tunes spanning decades of music. 

Kathi, classically trained in voice and piano, began her professional career after earning degrees in vocal music and appeared onstage in numerous musical and operatic productions. Since relocating to the Verde Valley from NY her style has evolved to favor more intimate venues and embraces the standards of favorite singers. Her vocals are soaring and sultry with a variety of music that entertains a wide audience. 

Joe was a popular guitarist and part of the Kansas City music scene for years before moving to the Verde Valley. His early influences were The Beatles, MoTown, Ray Charles an B.B. King. His group, Backwood Memory, received radio airplay and this exposure led to them opening for The Righteous Brothers, Waylon Jennings and The Box Tops. His dynamic guitar artistry thrills listeners who attend his shows. 

Kris Baldwin is a versatile bass player as well as a singer songwriter keen to entertain whenever the opportunity presents itself. Although Herman’s Hermits did open for Kris’s band, SkyDrive once upon a time, those glory days have mellowed with the passing of time and now he is happily engaged as bass side man for many players in his musical circles in AZ and Canada. These artists blend their individual musical experience and bring an elevated flair and refreshing spin to their eclectic mix o crowd-pleasing songs.
