Music in the Stacks- Concert Series

Free monthly concert series, a spin-off of the popular Music in the Stacks concerts. On the 4thThursday of the month, there will be a different local band or solo artist playing their music in the library's Fireside Room.  (This month's concert will be held downstairs in the Terracotta Room due to the Smithsonian Exhibit that will be at the library from June 14-July 26.)

This month's concert features 72 Stingray.

72 Stingray is an acoustic/electric duo from the Phoenix area. The group consists of Cynthia Pereda vocals/percussion and Andy Smith piano/guitar/vocals. Cynthia is a seasoned singer having previously performed with Shine on Floyd - Pink Floyd Tribute and the Smokey Blue Band. Her influences range from Motown to disco with a love of the oldies. Andy is a long time professional musician having played his first paying gig in a local production of Grease in Weirton, WV when he was 16. He has performed in several local bands, and in local theater and symphonic ensembles. Currently, he is the keyboard player for Shine on Floyd as well as a gun for hire in the Phoenix area. 72 Stingray setlist includes songs from the Beatles to Elvis, Motown to disco, and oldies to '80s.
