Free monthly concert series, a spin-off of the popular Music in the Stacks concerts. On the 4thThursday of the month, there will be a different local band or solo artist playing their music in the library's Fireside Room.

This month's concert features Fossil Creek.  Fossil Creek is a musical trio comprised of singer-songwriters Cowboy Wrecks, Odie Piker and Michael Greenleaf.

Cowboy Wrecks, a singer-songwriter, is an Arizona native. Themes of the value of relationships, and real spirituality, inspire his work. He is co-founder of The Arizona Live Music Cooperative, a Phoenix-based organization that hosts a weekly Open Mic venue available to all.  Fossil Creek, and Odie and Michael, are a source of great satisfaction and inspiration for him.

Odie Piker, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has been playing music since his father introduced him to the guitar as a child, from whom he learned old Country and Gospel tunes. A Valley resident since 1976, Odie has played in and written songs for numerous groups throughout the years, ranging from Country to Rock to New Wave to Gospel. Odie's current passion is Old-Time music, which inspires him to write new songs that sound old. "Here, I found my voice", he says.

Michael Greenleaf, a Seattle born singer-songwriter living in the Arizona desert since 2010, has been writing and performing for over 50 years. His songwriting is influenced by a wide variety of musical styles – sometimes humorous, sometimes intensely touching, but always heartfelt, deeply personal, and insightful. He writes and collects songs that capture the humanity of everyday life.  Over the years, Michael has developed a charming, eclectic, individual approach to finger-style guitar, and his smooth, warm baritone voice has an easy, open, intimate style that speaks directly to the heart.
